In 1950s America kids might have finished their school day with a trip by the drug store soda fountain where they could get a ice cream cone or a Coke for a nickel. That story is real life in this town. This is the story of the soda fountain still charging 1950s prices…
David Norman is a wonderful man. I’ve known him all of my life. He is an honest, hard working man who cares about his town, the people in it and their future. I think it is beautiful to see a touch of the past presented to the young children and students who come in the drug store. Of course, we older people enjoy it, too. Thank you, David.
It is a great story. Hope more people head to Ava to check it out!
I grew up near Ava Missouri and was a good friend of David Norman. I think it is great that in an economy like today David is trying to help Ava by bringing back the 50′s soda fountain. I grew up in the 50′s and I liked the Ava Drug then. I still enjoy going to the Ava Drug when in Ava.
